The Challenge

Ducati Detroit needed more than a nice homepage. Riders show up looking for a specific bike, a test ride, or a service slot, and that information changes as inventory moves. A brochure site leaves the staff retyping the same bike in a few different places. They wanted one setup that could look like Ducati and still handle the ordinary work of the store.

EGOpowersports

The store runs on EGOpowersports, a platform we built for powersports dealerships. Ducati Detroit is one of the shops on it. The site is theirs. Inventory, questions from riders, and the service side share the same system underneath.

In practice, that gives a dealership a few things that are annoying to stitch together by hand:

  • Inventory people can search, instead of a list that goes stale the week a bike sells
  • Test rides, questions, and contact in one place, rather than scattered inboxes
  • Service and parts a rider can find without having to call first
  • Events and everyday updates the store can make itself

It doesn't replace the people on the floor. It takes some of the repeating work, like listing a unit or catching a lead, so the team has more time for the rider standing there. Because it's our platform, we can shape it around how that particular shop runs. That's what we did here.

Results & Impact

Ducati Detroit's site now leads with the bikes, and riders can look, ask, and book from the same place. EGOpowersports is the part under that. It's the same platform we can set up for another powersports store, then adjust to how that shop actually works.
